I am an Associate Professor in the School of Psychology at UNSW Australia, and an OCD, hoarding, and anxiety disorders researcher. I am interested in the etiology and maintenance of OCD and related disorders, comorbidity and classification of anxiety disorders, and processes that are implicated in various types of psychopathology, including imagery, maladaptive emotion regulation and thought suppression. I have research grants focused on understanding emotional and cognitive processes that maintain OCD and on the regulation of anger.
I am also the course coordinator for both undergraduate and postgraduate Psychology courses at UNSW. At the undergraduate level, I coordinate Assessment, Personality, and Psychopathology. At the post‑graduate level, I coordinate Experimental and Clinical Psychology. My postgraduate research supervision includes 7 PhD students (4 completed), 8 Masters students (6 completed), and 10 Honours students (8 completed).
