I am a Professor in the School of Psychology at UNSW Australia, and an OCD, hoarding, and anxiety disorders researcher. I am interested in the etiology and maintenance of OCD and related disorders, comorbidity and classification of anxiety disorders, and processes that are implicated in various types of psychopathology, including imagery, maladaptive emotion regulation and thought suppression. I have research grants focused on understanding emotional and cognitive processes that maintain OCD and on the regulation of anger.
I lecture for both undergraduate and postgraduate Psychology courses at UNSW. At the post‑graduate level, I also coordinate Adult and Child Clinical Psychology 1. My postgraduate research supervision includes 13 PhD students (8 completed), 12 Masters students (10 completed), and 14 Honours students (all completed).
